If they just had all young shitty bands headline I would just say well I'm too old this fest isn't for me. But the fact that they drag out Anthrax (Like these kids care about Among the Living) and Suicidal Tendencies (Who only play the self titled and join the army) is just annoying to me. And Opeth still sucks.
I just noticed Exodus. None of these kids give a shit about Exodus.
You mean the party-dude hardcore kid scene is done with their obsession with Toxic Waltz and not knowing any other Exodus songs?

If Anthrax and Suicidal Tendencies end up on the same day, and only if they end up on the same day, i'll go to that. Purely because both bands were AWESOME when I saw them. As for Opeth, i've seen them six times, i'll pass this fest and pass traveling to see Katatonedeafia again. (ST's set when I saw them was A LOT more than just their selftitled and Join the Army, if I remember right)
Overall, this is possibly the best NEMAHF lineup in years.... yet it still sucks.
At least this year all the corekids have nothing to look forward to that weekend in April.
Didn't Gamma Ray and Sonata Arctica and Pagan's Mind and Wolf and Cellador and a few other powerish metal bands all play one NEMAHF? I wanna say, 2007?
If Opeth is the band you're going to single out from that lineup for being terrible, you clearly have never listened to 90% of those bands and i'm jealous of your ability to completely avoid shitty music.
I'm sure 99% of you don't care, but felt i'd copypasta the day-by-day schedule.

Fuck off lazy businessmen who book a bunch of tours the same weekend with deathcore openers fest. Never gone to this shit excuse of a "fest" and never will.

Gamma Ray, Wolf, and Cellador, yes. I don't think so on Sonata Arctica or Pagan's Mind. I saw Wolf and Cellador, but had to leave before Gamma Ray. I don't remember why. All I remember is I was pissed that I stayed through Dragonforce and didn't get to for Gamma Ray.
Probably go Friday. Xibalba, Suburban Scum, Black Breath (even though their last one didn't do it for me), Trap Them, Rude Awakening, Power Trip, Twitching Tongues and Disgrace make it worth my while.
Are/were you a fan? I went up to Toronto (from Michigan) see them on that tour, then again in Detroit a few days later, because I was so excited about them playing in NA at all.
I'm pleased to say that I haven't heard of 60% of these bands. I'm going to keep it that way.

I love how, on all three days, all the worst bands are in the middle of the day. That means I can go, see some awesome bands, go for a long walk and get dinner, then come back in time for the excellent headlining bands. Awesome.
Anthrax, Municipal Waste, Suicidal Tendencies, Sick Of It All, D.R.I. <3
