also, this is nice. Fuck shit like diablo 3. |

Only upgrading my computer in 1998 to have an MMX processor to run this was real. Can't wait to play this again. |
|
Yeah, you're short too, so am I. What's the problem? |

Excellent news. Hopefully some game company will get the rights and remake the Ultima & Ultima Underworld games as well.
Also, I completely agree with Trioxin245 that Diablo is shit. Diablo (in my opinion) all but killed classic RPG's where you actually had to use your brain and figure stuff out on your own.
On another note, anyone who owns the game "Dungeon Siege" owes it to themselves to try "Ultima 5: Lazarus" which is a free, fan-made remake of the original Ultima 5: Warriors of destiny, using the Dungeon Siege graphics engine. It is one of the very best single-player rpg's ever made IMO |

Fully backed. I can't say enough about this project. |
|
Shit, where can I DL that? |
|
great, looks like i'll be starting yet another RPG without finishing any of the other ones i'm working on. |

It's cool to see there is actually someone else on this board interested in Ultima.
If you do decide to play it, be sure to keep a notebook handy (yes, an actual real-life notebook) because there is no auto-journal, GPS quest-trackers, or any other "hold your hand" type crap in the game. The storyline, and NPC conversations are huge, so if you read or discover something you feel is important, write it down.
There is also no auto-map. There is a world map, but in order to see your location on the world map, you must find or purchase a sextant.
There are also magical "peering gems" which give you limited-time access to a special zoomable map which is handy in dungeons.
This is by no means an easy game, but patience, combat tactics, and attention to detail will all be your friend in your quest to rescue Lord British from the Underworld...... lol |

a good chunk of people here are no stranger to masochistic rpgs, i wish i had more time to play all the classics out there...i have a few years left. |
