New site? Maybe some day.
|
I guess the Sonar is closed (MDF new venue to be announced) |
|
Should have it at the Bonar instead |
|
How about they move it to a fucking farm somewhere close to the city limits so people can camp opposed to having to drop $200 a night for a hotel room? Just a thought. |
|
American girls don't usually like to camp out an entire weekend, as this prohibits showering and style points. |

^^ this.
I said this a while back but no one agreed with me. |
|
I've been hearing people yell for the camping idea for years.
IDK where it is going to be, but there was talk of it going basically across the street to the ottobar. Never been to that place.
the best line in that thread is
I like camping and I like Deathfest. I don't need to combine the two. |
Though I'm sure plenty of assholes would like camping, I would not. I like walking into my hotel room for fresh batteries. Plus, it is wicked hard to charge things plugged into a tree. And if you thought the tom-thievery was bad before? You know what stops a person from stealing your shit? not a tent, that's for sure. |
|
thats true...they'd need crazy security to keep the homeless crackheads from invading tent city #occupybaltimore
It is only called MARYLAND Death Fest, not BaltimoreDF so maybe they could move it WAY outside the city. |
|
It'll be just like that metal cruise, but in the mud instead of on the ocean |
|
Didn't the same thing happen last year or two a week before deathfest? And then the club was fine? |

Maryland Deathfest
Greetings, everyone. In case the rumor hasn't made it to your ears, we can let you know that Sonar (the home of MDF since 2006) is closing. Why? That's not important.
What is important is that we've known about this situation for months, and we were already searching for a new location only a few days after MDF X ended. Currently, we have THREE locations to choose from, all of which would be in Baltimore. Once some more logistical and financial planning takes place, we can make a decision on next year's location. With a little luck, we'll reveal that info before the end of July. Worst case scenario, we'll let you know sometime in August.
In the meantime, we will be announcing the first round of confirmed bands for MDF XI very soon, maybe even as early as next week. |

that was a liquor license thing. This is for rizzle. |
|
Kind of bummed. The last three years I felt like a king with my hotel across the street from the fest. I hope I can arrange a similar set up this year.
It's probably for the best. There were a several times during the past year where the inside stage was too crammed. |
