I was thinking about how the vikings got fucked by Christianity when I wrote this song. When I origionally showed the riff to Brian, He said it reminded him of a big creepy sea monster.......So The "sea monsters" are a metaphor for the vikings. I just wanted to sing about sea monsters and angst, given the discordant relationship of the chords in the song. Here are the lyrics if anyone actually cares.
Lurker of the brine 9/24/11
Who preys apon me? with words of folly...
The sky is fallen Fallen.....
these lies are cast to... sheild their burning eyes....
Black, words, scribed in ash
As banners rise from ruin
This scorge of anger frees my soul.....
Wars, in my mind, the missing book, in the Hymns
Be gone, wanderers of the sea, of the sea
Born antithesis....of unrest, I confess
A hatred fuled by fire, burning deep within me
Discordant black religion, Reads the Heathen bibles
This scourge of hatred frees my soul....
Born of the lies, Religion took, From those times
Be gone, wanderers of the sea, of the sea
Born antithesis....of unrest, I confess
The wrath of god....Struck down apon them
waiting, wanting....The souls repentance
Watching over, With means to punish...

manic repressive - was cool. i pumped my fist, good band to catch an early buzz too.
eerie - was my personal favorite of the night. absolutely need a copy of whatever the fuck is out there. GREAT STUFF.
dirt worshipper - not too shabby. i'm beginning to be convinced that most bands from atlantic region have settings that dial in that special willowtip/relapse vibe.
dark passenger - fucking stellar. much much better from the previous show. CRUSHING. curious sound that resembles ahab and enslaved doing shots in a log cabin. SUPPORT.
