I was trying to figure out if that was your piece or if monarque brought it. I thought "how did they know the exact size of the stage?" Infera bruo on now.
Infera bruo is the only way that a black metal band should use keys. Awesome.
First time seeing them. I'd agree, the sound effects from the keyboards were unique and awesome. The keyboardist used to be/or is still in an awesome proggy type band, Cul de Sac, and then a doom band.

Infera Bruo - good band. cool use of synths. lots of cool stuff going on but a lot of the songs have random parts that don't mesh well, totally killing what flow they would otherwise have in the songs.
Katahdin - Was cool to see them with bass for once. Good set. Band really needs 2 guitars though. Hope I get to catch them as a 4 piece some day.
Mythology - I'm a dick and missed most of their set. What I saw was the usual from them. Awesome but they are missing something that would take them to the next level of awesome. Can't put my finger on it.
Monarque - This band slayed. There wasn't any one thing that stood out. It just all came together quite excellent. If there was anything to complain about it was all the open notes on the bass. but i could hardly hear it in the mix so whatever. also the killer vocals definitely excuse the open notes here and there.
Witch Tomb - Raw. Following Monarque isn't easy, I'm sure but they did what they do and got the crowd moving for the first time all night. I know it's supposed to be frowny faces but drunk girls in worcester like to mosh, so be it.
The vibe at friday/satuday metal thursday shows is always way different than a actual metal thursday. Good times and a good show overall.
I'll take the blame for the shitty patch cable, that thing's going in the garbage. From what I understand Monarque didn't bring anything with them over the border, and the guitarist was still satisfied with the set even after having to deal with it cutting out. Those guys are awesome fuckers.
From what I understand Monarque didn't bring anything with them over the border,
If they find instruments and or merch when they cross they need a work visa. Even if playing a free benefit show. Since it was a one off show and not a tour this is totally understandable and the only way they could play.

This doesn't explain why the Black Taco Circle didn't bring any gear for their tour, I know LA seems like it's in Mexico but it's really not.

Monarque was cool. The guitar cutting out was irritating, especially since it kept happening coincidentally at moments where I was really getting into the songs.
Katahdin didn't sound like a 70's band. I am disappoint.
Mythology...couldn't hear the goddamn bass at ALL. Awesome otherwise.

I'm aware, was the same type of deal when I brought Hak-Ed Damm over a few times. Btw thanks for having us, Josh!
