New site? Maybe some day.
Played the Move demo this weekend. Was thoroughly impressed. Anyone play this? |
Yes.
GOD AWFUL.
somewhere between brushing your characters teeth, peeing, and opening doors you are supposed to solve a murder. |
i love quantic dream's games. the interactive movie approach is interesting, and the game is fucking beautiful. i'll be stealing my buddy's copy soon. |
Have you PLAYED it?
I got it for the same reason as you guys. Unfortunately, does not deliver.
I ended up looking up who the killer was online, because I got sick of "press X to brush your teeth" and "shake the controller to pee in the urinal". It's cute how they use the technology, but it rarely serves an actual purpose other than stalling you until the next plotline takes over.
haha, yeah i played the beginning. i'll see how far i actually get. i expect a confusing atmospheric adventure game. if brushing teeth is mandatory, then count me out. |
hahha that wasn't in the demo. Oh man. |

do i get to jack off too?! what button do i need to press while i shake my controller up and down? |
i heard it was awesome.. hmmmmm |
I might still try it. It kinda has that "Kings Quest" feel, except that it's always a cinematic. |

Same here. It got all sorts of great ratings across the board and JUST finally went down in price. I'll probably trade black ops in and get this. |
I got this for my buddy eric for his bday last year.... i house sat for him last week and it was still wrapped... i think i might take it back to play it "for him".. |
They shoulda just waited until it got Move support to release it. |

Shiiiiiit.... I bought this a few days ago, haven't given it a go yet... I was hoping that reviews that said it was a new/unique mix of suspense with VG action were on point, and the dudes at Gamestop said it wasn't too heavy on the cut scenes, which was my worry...
If it's pretty much The Sims: Mystery!, I am going to be bummed! |
Not cutscenes. More like dragons lair - guy runs up and punches you - press x - you ninja flip and punch him in the face. He runs away. Press O. You run after him. Oh shit, he's getting away! Quick, tap r1 repeatedly to open the car door. Okay, now press triangle a billion times to get in the car. Now press both sticks in opposite directions to close the door. Now press r3 and do a little dippy twirly with the stick to start the car. Okay, go catch the badguy! Oh, wait, gotta put on that seatbelt! Press R2 and do the hokey pokey to get the seatbelt buckled. Now go get... oh shit, need to turn on those headlights. .......

I played a couple hours and I like it. It has enough old-school adventure game genes for me to enjoy. I'm mostly addicted to the atmosphere. The controls are certainly unique, they are a welcome change. This game will keep me up at night this weekend. Unless I'm missing something, the killer's identity is obvious from the start. Since I've been playing God of War on masochistic difficulty the quick-time action button sequences are easy. |
I finished in under 10 hours earlier in the week... Kinda disappointed at the length, but I do figure I'll give it a replay in time. RockStar and Ubisoft have kinda spoiled me, any game under 30 hours just seems kinda dinky now. |
