I'm making a huge batch for the chili cook off tomorrow at my work.
4lb veggie crumbles for "hamburger"
64fl tomato juice
2x24oz tomato sauce
1x diced tomatos
2x 15.5oz pinto beans
2x15.5oz red kidney beans
1 diced onion
1 diced bell peper
1/2 can guiness
1/4 teaspoon cayenne peer
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp black pepper
2 tsp salt
1 tsp cumin
1/2 chili powder
My mom puts in a couple squares of this hershey cooking chocolate into her chili. I don't really know if it makes much of a difference but I do know my mom makes a damn good chili.
But everyone always thinks their moms cooking is the best.
For a pot that big with that much "meat", You need way more spices. Just a tsp of cumin, chili powder and cayenne is not nearly enough. It's gonna be very bland.
there are like 20+ chili's here. over 200 people came through tasting the chilis. There were only 2 vegetarian ones and there are like 4-5 veggies so, win 4-5 votes for me!
