New site? Maybe some day.
so it goes billion, then trillion......then what? how much more is a septillion? |
15,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000
Thats what 15 septillion looks like on paper |
i always thought it would be more like 10 Septillion... i guess i forgot to factor in inflation. |
ill buy the death start for 15,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 with 0 down. |
Well, if there is one thing a massive galactic totalitarian empire has, it's good credit. |
time's next 'man of the year' |
$15 what most of you have
$15,000 Thousand
$15,000,000 million
$15,000,000,000 billion
$15,000,000,000,000 trillion
$15,000,000,000,000,000 quadrillion
$15,000,000,000,000,000,000 quintillion
$15,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 sextillion
$15,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 septillion
this would be close to $20 septillion, but klingons moved into Alderon and well you know what they say, there goes the neighborhood. Once klingons move in, you can try to flood 'em out, but in the end, you just had better blow the whole thing up. |
That number will be our new National Debt in a few years. |
And thats without labor costs. |
And thats without labor costs. |
or the cost of transporting all that material to space. |
with the blast sheild down I can't even see. how am I suppose to fight? |
^^ what kind of bullshit is that for a jedi knight?^^ |
thats a whole lotta bullshit rev |
But, he wasn't a jedi knight yet. |
I've got a bad feeling about this... |
this is not the bullshit you are looking for |
Must have been part of a convoy |
didn't read the link but firstly, we all know the galactic empire has unlimited money.
you think the deathstar was expensive?
an additional expense would be the number of destroyers and frigates the empire has in their control. keep in mind that they construct TIE fighters, which requires raw material.
we're talking about massive, war factories which have massive weapons themselves. then they've got to pay the labor for the miners, etc.
don't forget the cost of the outposts on various planets throughout the system.
it's too bad America's economy isn't like the empires', cause we all know how awesome it'd be to be a captain on a destroyer. |
another expense:
how much do you think the average light saber costs? for something that supposedly burns through just about everything, I'm assuming a light saber must cost a fortune.
I thought about purchasing the lightsaber/hovercraft on http://www.futurehorizons.net but decided not to. all I want to do is ride around on a hovercraft with a lightsaber, but it's fucking expensive. |
Shit, didn't you read any of the expanded universe books? Miners are invariably slaves or prisoners of the Empire. |
Yar. That. (IIRC, Chewie was one of a group of Wookie mining slaves that Solo rescued.) |
Still have to pay the guards and/or Storm Troopers (they don't get paid, do they?) to guard the outpost.
I never got hugely deep into the novels, unlike a lot of my friends.
Even though Lucas approves them, I don't want to read them.
Everyone always thought Chewie's death was so epic, but fuck that shit. He could have died in a more epic fashion. |
then they've got to pay the labor for the miners, etc. |
Falsitude. The miner labor costs would help dictate what the raw materials cost themselves, which is the only thing that WAS accounted for when considering the cost of this thing. |
Got to love Starwars for teaching kids about a lack of human rights, genocide, incest, and injustice. |
ok, so I now understand the miners don't get paid.
the big point is that due to the mass construction of such huge ships, etc., the cost of the DeathStar would only be a fraction of the empire's budget.
When I used to play StarWars Galaxies, I barely made enough coin to afford bone armor-which was one of the best ones when it first started. So I quit playing it for 3 months and came back and everyone had all these fancy weapons and armors. Fuck the StarWars fantasy "budget." A hard-working indivudual like myself could barely afford a vehicle in that game. I had to sleep in fields until someone let me sleep in their fucking house. Game blows. I have no idea what it's like now. |
I hope factored in the extra railings needed when standing on the outside. |
Are you kidding? The guys working the giant death kill you laser on the first one didn't even get a handrail! GOVERNMENT CONTRACTS, LOL |
it's funny when you look at the ISS (space station) and compare that to the ships in fantasy/sci fi movies.
looks like we have a lot of work and funding to put into our space exploration programs. |

We should use all of that money on bailing out banks instead, space banks. |
Or at least for installing handrails. |
you guys think star wars is make-believe, eh?
ever read up on the ancient Lyran Wars in our own galaxy? eh? EH? |
