Pit bulls are awesome dogs, but too many shitbags train them to be vicious attack dogs, or just don't train them at all. My girlfriend has 2 pitbull mixes that are the most gentle and pleasant dogs I've ever met. Plus, it's easy to train them to tend to children and disabled/challenged people.

Few people have the knowledge and responsibility to own a breed of dog like this. They can be a fine pet if you are aware that they are a strong dog that can easily rip the face off a person or another animal, and you take steps (both in training and confinement) to ensure this does not happen. The problem is that ghetto trash is attracted to these breeds and the dog is neglected and turns into a hate tank. Anyone who has or wants a vicious dog is most likely a scared pussy who can't fight their way out of a wet paper bag.
