Of The Betrayed, Monday Mourning, Amsteah, Never Enough, & The Honorable Tragedy |
the intersection of amherst and main was shutdown by the police! That was lame. Lots of police around there. Anyhow, I got a drive by bukakke and otb CD.
amsteah: I got in right as they started. There were plenty of people dancing and some kid holding his bangs up while he puked in the trash. these guy's said they were from hampstead NH, but do they look like pinkerton academy material? I don't know. I haven't been back there (besides graduations) this decade. Probably go to timberlane or sanborn. Most of their music was sort of like everytime I die. A lot of screaming and tossing guitars over their shoulder. Some low vocals. A lot of breakdowns. And people moshed a lot. At the end if their set, they play a 1 minute grindcore song.
never enough: a last show? I think that's what they said. Their parents were there too TA see them. So it probably was their last show. Lots of "meedly meedly"s and breakdowns. They said they were showcase showdown (why not since the real S.S. is now call spitzz or something like that). A lot more metal than the first band, but most of the vocals were hardcore. At one point they did that 2 person "lower than normal voice" talking vocals thing that always reminds me of a funeral sermon. I think their first song was all bible quotes. towards the end, they did a roger carol trustee (sp?) song. People really seemed TA enjoy that track. two kids started a fight and were rolling around on the ground, but then jumped up and hugged... weird... after they were done, the bassplayer came up TA me to find out about seeing the pictures. he was more than happy when he found out about them being on RTTP. |
monday mourning: sort of whiney vocals. Sounded like taking back sunday or something like that. People kept dancing for them even though there weren't really any breakdowns. The guitar player had issues with his guitar and had to go get another. Someone let him borrow one. once they got going, the guy who's guitar broke screamed for it. The last song was done without the second guitar anyhow. |

why is the newest coolest thing TA hold YA cellphone up? I thought I was at an eagles concert.
Of The Betrayed: they sounded good and had most of the remaining kids running around. They were a lot more hardcore than I remember them being and even did part of a BYD song. Also, I thought the asian guitarist played all the lead riffs. Not this time atleast. They had a mosh mom in the front. She made sure all the moshers were totally hydrated!
honorable tragedy, the: I honestly though OTB was the last band and almost ran out the door. I stayed for a few songs and then left.
outside, I talked TA christian for a while and found out the good news about the club staying open for a bit longer.
on a side note: I don't know what it is about when I come TA drifters... But the passed 2 times, it's like I went TA mexico and drank brown water. Rediculous. Maybe that's the evil trying TA get out? What ever it is, it makes me want TA install a port-o-let in my car. |

i was going to go to this but i went to woburn instead...
the woburn show was really low key nothing going on at all i think me and my friend were they only people that paided it seemed that the bands were just watching the bands ect.
we were gonna leave and go to this show but by the time we would have gotten to drifter's there would have been around a half an hour left... $10 for a half an hour not worth it...
its good to hear that this club is staying open though. |
Savior Coliseum and Skate Complex? where is that? |
1) in joke land
2) christian's been looking every where and hasn't found anything. he had something in manchester, but that cancelled at the last minute. I hope he stays along the mass border somewhere (like nashua, salem, or the coast). kids in nashua/milford/amherst are going to have no place to go |
Everyone had a pretty decent set, especially OTB. Did you enjoy that Drive-By Bukkake CD REV or was the case used for another CD... haha |

yeah that would be good for me since nashua isn't that far away from the boarder...
it would be even better if they found a place in salem. that would be like 10-15 mins away depending where |
weird, I always thought your ip was from manchester. oh well. |

Minh is usually rhythm, Shaun is usually lead. Minh is actually doing a lot more leads now than he used to. Thanks for coming rev! |

New kids of the betrayed?
*confused* |
Exactly. Which is precisely why I am in fact confused. |
do a search on the acronym. |
you definitly didn't grow up in the 90's then. |
Definetly doesn't have The Right Stuff. |
I did...but I failed at the paying attention part. ADD tends to do that. |
Follow the thread Step by Step. |
Oh I've been paying attention to the thread, I mean I didn't pay attention to the 90's. |
And on that note I'm off.
I got practice, and I feel like eating first. BK, here I come.
We shall continue this converstation at another given time. |
tell milford and amherst kids to drive to shows. most of the kids that live in those towns are douchebags anyway |
It was not Never Enough's last show. It was supposed to be the last one at Drifters but since they are not moving from there at this time, they will be back as Showcase Showdown. I (Brenden's Dad, guitar) am at all the shows. I enjoy all the bands music. GREAT PICTURES!!!!! |
