New site? Maybe some day.
that looks pretty damn cool |
that looks pretty damn .....neat.
there I changed it up a bit. |
This graphic novel's insane, mostly because Frank Miller's brilliant, and I have no doubt that this movie is going to kick all kinds of ass. |
can't wait to peep it!!!! |
This def looks like a cool movie.. |
this guy did Sin City right? |
i saw the trailer for this when i went to see the departed. it looks really intense. |
this is the one with the spartans and arrows and all that shit right? i cant see those videos right now. if it's the movie im thinking of, i am so fucking psyched to see it. i saw the preview when i went to see SawIII. |
*bump* original thread about the movie |
why you gotta go and bump old ass threads huh? hahah |
because it's relevant since it's about a movie that people seem to be interested about and there is a link to the trailer
ps: it's only 4 months old and the last reply is 2 months old...
*bow* |
you can buy tickets today for the IMAX theatre in Reading MA...opens there March 9th
my bday! |
saw this on friday and it was fucking bad ass...gonna go see it next sunday in imax at the jordans in natick |
just saw this...blood drunk! |
just got home from the theater, its a pretty brutal movie, they did a great job with cg, you can barely notice it at times during decapitations. |
I can't wait to see this. I'm gonna wait a bit though, I hate crowded theaters.
I'm with you on that, kiddo. |
I need to see this. I happened to glance over a Patriot Ledger article about how it was real bad and the comic book shit gets old fast. However, I don't trust anything those fucking retards write in that paper after the hurricane incident. It also doesn't help their creditability any when they constantly spell things incorectly in headlines and subheadlines on the front page. |
Also...
MOVIE RULED. Absolute must see. |
But the Patriot Ledger said is was bad. How can the Patriot Ledger be wrong!? |
I heard the Metro snubbed it too. If the Patriot Ledger and the Metro (the true titans of printed media...IMO) both turned up their noses at this film I think I need to rethink if I actually liked it or not.
Honestly, I do have my criticisms of this movie. But gay newspaper movie critics always hate movies like this. |
wouldn't the gays love it? I mean, it's got everything they want... muscley dudes and all. |

The stupidest thing I ever heard regarding movie criticisms was on Fox news. I was flipping through the channels and some black British lady was reviewing Lord of the Rings. She was basically implying that anybody who liked this movie was an idiot and that she had a masters degree in film so she would know. She ended the review by saying something like "save your money on this over hyped waste of time and stay home and rent a good movie, like Gone With the Wind". |
what do broads know about anything...nothing...nothing about anything. |
Gone With The Wind...nothing like racism to make a good movie.
The gay and me will love it. Yay Gerard Butler. |
When I went to see the first Lord of the Rings in the theaters this fat lady stood up at the end of the movie and said "THAT'S IT?!!"
That's all I can think of when I see film critics on tv. Fat clueless assholes. |
I didnt like the first Lord of the Rings movie... but I absolutely loved the next two. |
we need movie critics who are in tune with today's movies. all we have are these old pretentious cocks with film degrees proclaiming to be omnipotent wizards. so what if you have a film degree? i dont have one, but i know 1000x more about movies because i watch so many of them. these 50-somethings wont give a decent review unless its on something they specifically like. i understand there are bad movies, but you can give an unbiased review on a movie you didnt like if you can see it was a good movie. that to me is critiquing. |
These critics that cut up movies like 300 and Lord of the Rings are the same ones you catch saying "You know I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say this might just be Matthew McConaughey's best work to date! And casting Terry Bradshaw as the affable father in law... my goddness it was the pais de resistance!!" |
I've always thought of Terry Bradshaw as an Oscar-caliber acting genius. |
headline: Terry Bradshaw picks the Steelers to sweep the Oscars. |
This movie made me want to do push ups and fight a large group of people |
I think the only movie that may top this one is the forth coming 'Pathfinder'. |

dude same here, I was like "when's this movie going to end so I can go home and work out and start looking for bladed weapons to learn."
definalty agree that this movie is a recruitment tool. |
HTR said: I think the only movie that may top this one is the forth coming 'Pathfinder'. |
I can't wait for that.
when that movie "Pathfinder" was first advertised, there was a gigantic cardboard standup for it at Showcase in Worcester, but it hadnt been named yet. so i thought it looked awesome due to the giant metal dude holding a battle axe. now when "Pan's Labyrinth" came out, i confused the two of them, so the whole time i was watching "Pan's Labyrinth", i kept saying to the dude i went with "i cant wait for the giant dude with the battle axe". sadly, it never came. however the movie made up for it. |
I was impressed and happy to see Pan's Labyrinth win a few Oscars.. finally... a good movie actually won something |
and furthermore, while "Pathfinder" looks awesome, the plot is fucking retarded. a viking, raised by native americans, fights vikings. seems a bit lackluster, and full of possiblities for stereotyping and cliche "viking-esque" mythology. |
Pan's Labyrinth was fucking amazing, too. Good movies lately...I'm not used to this. |
haha i know right, sensory overload. |
I just saw this.
some of the acting and one liners were a bit over the top and all the decent lines were used in the tv trailers, BUT the special effects were great... 4 decapitations and maybe a dozen delimbings? oh yes. |

they were orignally going to drop all the steroetypes for vikings and natives, but then they changed their mind because they knew hornless vikings wouldn't sell, just like natives with good grammar wouldn't sell.
this movie is a remake anyways, of the 1970's vikings, a pretty good movie for the 70's they even have a black viking |

piece de resistance. arrete de peter. |
i just saw this in digital and hi def. i just wanted to see the movie so i picked a time and noticed that it said DLP next to it. Oh man. it was fucking amazing. Looked so crisp and clear and the colors just jumped out. |
I'm hopefully going to see this tomorrow at IMax. |

Never has there been a more manly or homo movie ever made. And I mean that in a good way. Saw it this weekend, it made me want to slaughter a pack of 15 year olds and turn over a car. Somewhere Joey Dimio is on the phone with his lawyer get ready to sue for ripping off Manowar's stage outfits. |
so they shouldn't go with the "if you do not like sparta, you are not my friend" posters? |
A huge gallery of 300 photoshops. I haven't really looked through them, though. Because the vast majority of them look like they suck. |

Just saw this for the 2nd time last night. Awesome movie. |
resemblance? |

hahahaha wow. |

P.S. This is possibly one of the funniest threads I've ever seen here on RTTP. |

That's what I was thinking the whole time. |
The Kramer Spartan deserves to be seen. |
The only thing good about this movie is this thread and the humor that followed once I opened it.
All and all it lacked substance and the brutality it tried so hard to bring to life. If I want real chaos and democratic nationalist undertones I'll go watch Mel Gibson fuck people up in the Patriot. This movie gets an F for Fail, and the people who actually paid to go see it and liked it get a W for Why. |

NO U |
There's totally a version of this one where both of the kids have Leonidus heads. It's way funnier, I wish I could find it. |
This is coming out on DVD soon I believe. |
I've got it on DVD-R and I think I've watched it once a day for the past 3 days.
I always notice things that are so well done about the design that I never saw previous times. |
what was wonderful was the rifftrax version. Nothing better than making fun of movies. |

THEY DID THAT? Fucking awesome; Mike Nelson is the man. |
yeah man, came out last week I think. Watched it over the weekend. It's a pretty solid one.
i finally saw this last night, bad fucking ass. i was apprehensive at first, i figured it was over-hyped, but it wasn't. it deserved all the hype. |
hddvd version rocked... how was dvd or bluray? |
