New site? Maybe some day.
I don't know how many of you remember this place...but it didn't get any better. |
I saw the toasters there in 98??? that was back when all ages places were cool. |
that one in particular
the only bullshit that happened there was when the "z crew" would show up to be tuff guys
i have yet to see a place in MA since with a regular draw like that place...people went regardless of who was playing, just to go see music and hang out |
i've met so many random kids from that area whose parents would just drop them off there on weekends, no worries no problems. |
good times
i sure wish i had the capital to invest in another place like that one |
saw Deeds of Flesh, Dying Fetus, and Eternal Suffering there. one of the best shows i've ever been to. |
and if someone does start it, they can't be stupid about alcohol...everyone wants to be nice and make it no rules, but that just doesn't last. |
that place had no alcohol available and it still ruled
they made bomb non alcoholic mudslides though |
I seen, Scattered Remnants,Jungle Rot and Entropy there,way back when..awesome show |
Oh man I fucking loved the Espresso Bar. It only took me one visit to get hooked and get really excited about local/underground aggressive music. It's weird because whenever I drive by that place now I think about how some of the best bands in hardcore/metal whatever played there and now it's like a lamp store. Incubus at one point played there, despite the fact that they suck, they're still one of the most popular bands in music. |
i think marilyn manson showed up there one time because he wanted to play there and they let him...even though he sucks...but he became huge as well |
i thought this was going to be about italian coffee |
you're obviously not "scene" enough then
go back to your starbucks *shakes fist* |
actually, i was going to say because i haven't lived in these parts long enough and because i'm italian...but ok...(ps i haven't had a strabucks since aaron got me one...ummm almost a year ago) |
damn! made a fool again! *shakes fist* |
btw...i was being sarCASTic

i remember that show. there was like nobody there. i'm not too into those bands so i was bored. it was pretty rare to see a pure death metal show in mass back then.
i used to go to the lamest shows there because i had nothing better to do when i was a teen. i must have seen shadows fall and overcast play there a million times. holy fuck did they suck. thats when the gothenburg massachusetts trend started. barrit sucked ass too. looking back at it, it made me hate the mass scene for the longest time. i saw so many stupid bands there. i remember seeing a thrashy/death band with a blind singer/guitarist in a white zombie shirt almost fall off the stage. that was pretty cool haha.
the only shows that i actually enjoyed there was blood for blood/skarhead, and an old isis show. i never saw a really good metal band there. |
ive seen a shitload of good shows at the espresso bar. they used too let us drink out back even though i was WAY underage at the time. I went to the last punk show there, i believe it was showcase showdown and a few others, people smashed holes in the walls and kicked down the divider between the mens and womens room, and were trying too pull pipes out of the ceiling and shit, good times. |
i can't even begin to list how many bands i saw at this club. great times. |
