first time I've worn The Business shirt in 6 years, FUCK!!! |
I'm here now.
I got in (thanks to no parking) for tommy and the terror's last song. they sounded nice and fun... but I was only able to snap a couple shitty non-flash pictures of them. |
walking in here was hilarious cause it's all the security from the palladium.
ducky boys: they sounded so much better than at skatefest. Everything including the crowd was so much better. They played all the songs they did at the palladium and then some. It seemed like they got all the time that they wanted to play. There was even some crowd surfing. |
casualties, the: they are honestly the most and best punk band, and I mean authentic anglo-punk here, that I have heard in a long ass time. they took a long time to set up (but it takes a long time to get all those points up). this was all songs about drinking and being "united." it's hilarious seeing all the spikey heads in the pit pogoing. The front was all spikey hair kids that probably were at most 5 years old when the casualties started. I got out of the pit during drinking is my way of life.. Good thing to cause they started throwing beer at that point... Ep! Before that, it was just spit. twice, while in the photopit, I transferred the mic to people in the audience who sang along and then yelled out requests. They cover blitzkreig bop too. That was sort of the middle point of their set. I thought they were going to do an encore, I guess they did the punk thing and judt walked off the stage not saying anything about "good bye" or "last song". They just played through and then walked off stage, done. |
any band that tries to legitimize spending 4 full hours to do hair (and im not exaggerating) can lick my asshole.
plus, they're what dimmu borgir is for black metal, for punk rock.
fuckin douchebags |
Ps: I just started a niose art band called 2a[square] and we are better than you. |
Anyone check out my pics yet? Plsss |
not that anyone cares, but my pictures are uploading now. |
you mean no one cares about myne..well except you
my first time beating to to posting pics and no one even replied or prolly didn't even look |
I sang to the Bruisers more than when I saw Cryptopsy in Montreal...one of the best sets I've seen. I'm so fired up. I'll probably write a better review tomorrow. |
bruisers, the: since they are basically both legends and from my town, I had to come down to their reunion. These guys broke up like 7 years ago AER (after elvis room) approximately at the same time as the elvis room's downfall. that was around the time that music as we know it on the seacoast for the most park ended. well, they are back for this one of show. it was bassed around the Dropkick Murphy's appearance on conon o'brien and their tour. who was that on stage?
Al Barr (dropkick murphys) vocals
Jeff Morris (dropkick murphys) guitar
Scotty Vierra guitar
Dan Connors drums
Mike Savitkas (he's in some band, i just can't remember)
they played for for almost an hour and a half, with just about every single track that I could think of them playing (no two boots or independence day but hey, they have 10 years of work or play from). Buhdda (blood for blood) introduced the band and when Al came out, he said something like "I see you all shaved your heads today" and then they cut into in american night. he was immediately down in the crowd singing along with everyone. the rest of the set was full of people yelling inside jokes, singing along, and having a good time. the whole stage was surrounded by friends and family and a lot of people I had just seen at skatefest. such a good time. it actually made me want to attend a dropkick show at some point... which... I probably won't do, but whatever. they ended their set with a 3 song encore. they brought buddha back out of "iron chin" to sing with them. and the last song a very fitting "til the end" had so many people come out on stage to sing with them.
rulage to the end. |
they did play independence day i thought...
at work. yyyaaaaaaaawwwwnnn.
fun show. |
mike savitkas is in cadillac hitmen |
you know... now that you mention it... I think they did play it.
I remember them introing it. I should have looked at the set list. |
I've seen mike savitkas in some other band too (since I've never seen the cadillac hitmen) |
INSANE show! Was loving it VERY much. I was at the last Bruisers show at the Elvis Room and no way in hell was I gonna miss this one. |
Josh: post that picture of the toilet! |
my phone is gay and can't upload to my comp. if anyone saw, the toilet was the most disgusting thing I've ever seen in my life. for those of you who saw the shitty swat in albany:northern lights/sick shit 2, this bet that without a doubt. nothing but shit, puke, paper, and more shit and puke, totally unflushable.
songs I wished they played,
Chrome
Anchors Up
The Gates of Hell
End of the Line
Tear it Up
Still Standin Up
Mainliner
oh well still a great time. showed up late and missed every band cept the bruisers. kinda glad i was late cause i would been broke by the first hour, fuck you $6 Bud lights!!! still they played something from every album and 7". Al Barr sounded great. I was pissed that the PA cut out towards the end. I wish they coulda played for 2 hours!! oh and intricate process was definately shitfaced. |
