That tour was called The New Titians on the Block tour, in response to the Clash of the Titans tour the year before (Megadeth, Anthrax, I think Slayer). I remember liking SOIA. I couldn't tell the difference between hardcore and metal when I was 14.

um.. there was more than 5,000 people there. news paper reports claim 55,000 to 75,000 people.

people were tossing bottles at the cops and the cops used motorcycles to push back the crowd. I watched a few drunken douchbags pulled from the crowd and beat down but cops in riot gear and dragged away. I was unfront and all of a sudden, the cops storms the crowd with their sheilds in front of them and everyone (including myself, the 2 kids I was babysitting, and my friend) ran.

on a related note, the two kids that I was babysitting that day, what became of them?

the boy was last heard from after storming bagdad from one of sadam's palaces.

the girl were to be a stripper in florida, then came back to the good olde home town to sing for the late 30-something band that plays the bandstand down today. I think she finally had a kid with some hispanic guy in town.
