Melodic parts aren't in "true" black metal. That's called "melodic black metal. Duh.

you wont see it live because they don't wear corpse paint sounds like something a hipster would say, i know you aren't but that's sort of the same mentality. also I think true black metal can have "melodic" parts but they are regarded as epic parts. Immortal, Dissection, The Black to name a few. I would also consider older Watain "trve" i suppose but not still not really but due to their stage rituals i would say so.
