PHOENIX -- Oakland Athletics outfielder Coco Crisp has been arrested on suspicion of drunken driving, the third major league player to be charged with DUI in the last three weeks.
Crisp
The A's said in a statement that Crisp was arrested early Wednesday in Scottsdale. He was released from jail and arrived at Phoenix Municipal Stadium on time to take part in pre-game drills before Oakland's exhibition game against the Cleveland Indians.
Crisp was in the clubhouse before the game but did not speak with reporters.
The team said it is taking Crisp's situation "seriously" and will have no further comment "until further details are available."
Detroit's Miguel Cabrera was arrested last month in Florida on DUI charges, and Cleveland's Austin Kearns is facing a similar charge after being pulled over in Kentucky and arrested on Feb. 12.
but here's the better part:

Coco Crisp was hauled into jail this morning on suspicion of DUI in Scottsdale, Arizona -- and was cruising in a vehicle that costs more than $400,000 when the arrest went down.
The Oakland A's outfielder -- who's in AZ for Cactus League spring training -- was pulled over by Scottsdale PD while driving his 2009 Rolls Royce Phantom.
The A's tell TMZ, Coco "was arrested and detained early this morning under the suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol."
Team officials say Coco got out of jail this morning and showed up on time for pregame drills.
The A's didn't mention what, if any, disciplinary action Coco would face.
BTW -- A couple weeks ago Coco Crisp was in Los Angeles hanging with Charlie Sheen. It's not what you think though ... just a little batting practice.
