trying to force people who were born here to "adapt to bi-lingualism" or "embrace linguistic diversity" is nothing but P.C. crybaby liberal nonsense.

like i was saying, no one besides kids who want to graduate would be forced into anything, and that has been the case in schools here for 30 or more years. And again, what is the problem with higher education? No one is gonna force you to learn anything, they are gonna make sure our children are more prepared for a world that no matter how bad they want it to be all english all the time, it will not be that way in this country ( or any other) ever again in any other country. Cultures are just too mixed for that, so yes, in my opinion it is REALLY important for children to be bi-lingual, and i think it would be EVEN if we did have such a draconian law as "ALL ENGLISH OR GET OUT", because it would make them better prepared for the world. Just like math classes, geography classes, or any other education. It's important.

What part of the higher education bothers you?

And did anyone else reading this NOT have a minimum foreign language requirement for graduation?

i'm not bullshittin guys, swear to god, i do not know anyone (of all the people i hang with that went to school in Attleboro, Norton, or North Attleboro) that was forced into foreign language classes.

and it's not higher education, it's making diversity seem more important than it is, and making it easier for people from other countries to get around without learning english.

the thought of the entire country being bi-lingual by the time i'm an old fuck makes me pray for an early death.
